How We Help

Financial leadership built for one kind of organization: the local church. We do not serve corporate clients or general nonprofits. Churches are the whole focus, and have been from the beginning.

We are your financial leadership: reporting, strategy, and counsel. We are not your tax preparer, your auditor, or a replacement for your financial administrator. We work alongside those roles and pick up where they end.

Fractional CFO Services

Your outsourced, part-time financial leader. We handle the financial and business operations that a growing church needs but cannot yet staff full-time: bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, risk management, and board correspondence. More than the mechanics, you get a financial partner who sits at the table when the decisions get hard and tells you the truth about what your numbers mean.

The signature of the relationship is a monthly reporting rhythm you and your board can count on. Every month, produced in Realm, you receive the same three reports:

  • Balance Sheet:  Standard format, all accounts. Where the church stands at month-end.

  • Departmental Budget Reports:  A detailed, department-by-department view of actual against budget.

  • Income Statement by Department:  A one-page executive summary, written for a board to read in minutes. This one-page summary is Kerry's signature, developed and refined over three decades of church financial work.

No surprises, no scramble before the board meeting. Just a steady picture of the church's financial health, on time, every month.

Loan Request Packages

When your church is ready to build, expand, or refinance, the lender's first question is whether yours is a church worth investing in. We answer it for you.

A Loan Request Package tells your church's story, in your own words and your own numbers, and presents it to our network of faith-based lenders and private funds. Rather than taking the first terms offered, you get to weigh real options side by side and choose the financing that fits your ministry and your future. We prepare the package, make the introductions, and stand with you through the lender conversations.

Strategic Facility Expansion Planning

A building project is one of the largest financial decisions a church will ever make, and the most important parts of it happen long before design begins. We bring financial leadership to the front of the process: assessing what your church can responsibly fund, modeling the impact on cash flow and reserves, and shaping a funding strategy that serves the ministry instead of straining it. When construction is part of the picture, we coordinate with Goff Companies so the financial plan and the building plan move together.

Financial Health Coaching

Sometimes a church does not need someone to do the work for them. They need someone to help them get strong enough to do it themselves. Financial Health Coaching builds the habits, reporting rhythms, and internal controls that make a church financially healthy from the inside out. We work alongside your pastors and business administrator, not in place of them, so the capability stays in the church long after our work is done.

How working together looks

You do not have to commit to anything to start.

Most churches begin with a conversation and move forward only when it feels right.

1. A conversation

Tell us where your church stands and what is on your plate. We listen, answer questions, and help you see whether we are the right fit. No pressure, no pitch.

2. A Financial Assessment

When you are ready to go deeper, we conduct a thorough review of your church's current financial practices and deliver a written report: what is already strong, what needs attention, and the specific improvements we recommend. The report also lays out how Healthy Church CFO would serve your church going forward. Most assessments take about a month once we have your financial information in hand.

3. An ongoing partnership

From there, we step into the financial leadership seat as your fractional CFO, with the monthly reporting rhythm and the steady counsel that keep your church financially healthy.

Frequently asked questions

Not sure which one you need?

Most churches start with a conversation, not a service. Tell us where things stand, and we will help you figure out the right next step.
